Keith Montgomery, a lifelong music educator, taught in international schools for over twenty-five years before his appointment as Executive Director of AMIS.

A native of America’s Pacific Northwest, Keith attended Seattle Pacific University on a piano scholarship and went on to receive a Master’s Degree from The University of Washington. Teaching, music, and life have taken Keith to over sixty different countries, and he is proud to lead an organization that combines his greatest passions.

When not traveling for AMIS, Keith lives in London, where he also spent ten years as a member of the London Symphony Chorus.

Tim Germann
Chief Operating Officer

Tim Germann is the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) for AMIS. In this position Tim will be responsible for general business operations including data strategy, development and integration of technology and financial management.

Tim has 25 years of teaching experience. He was the Fine Arts Department Chair for the John F. Kennedy School in Berlin, Germany, the Band Director and Music Department Chair at the American Community Schools of Athens, Greece and  a middle school and high school Band Director in several Texas public schools.

Tim has a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Southern Methodist University and a Master of Arts in International and Comparative Education degree from Stanford University. He lives in Berlin with his wife Lori and his cat Mario.

Georgia Bassett
Development Officer

Contact Georgia Bassett

Georgia Bassett and her husband Richard co-founded AMIS, and Georgia ran the day to day operations of the Association for almost forty years.  She continues to work for AMIS as its development officer.

Georgia is a native of New Mexico, USA.  She received her Bachelor of Music Education degree with a vocal emphasis from Oberlin Conservatory (Ohio).  Georgia has also studied in Austria and taught in the US, Athens, Tehran and London.

The Bassetts now live in 500-year-old Church Farm House in rural Norfolk with Bonnie, their dog. Dick & Georgia have lovingly turned Church Farm House into an impressive 5 star bed and breakfast/guesthouse where they prepare gourmet evening meals for guests. Church Farm House also remains the official AMIS Headquarters.
